Easy Baby Shower Food

Author: Jennifer McCleary

After all the planning, invitations, decorations the thing you want to worry about is the baby shower food! For many people, creating a menu for a party can be a daunting task. What if youre not a good cook? What if you dont have time to prepare a lot of food? Maybe you just dont like to cook. Well, have no fear below I have planned out a simple menu of easy baby shower food.

Most items require nothing more than putting food on a platter, and the most difficult dish just requires putting a few things in the oven. For baby showers I think it is fun to use miniature foods, and foods with baby in their title. Here are some easy baby shower foods that will still make you look like a pro.

Baby Carrot Salad: this is really easy, all you have to do is dump a 2 lb. bag of baby carrots and a large bag of frozen peas in a bowl, add water and cook them in the microwave for 5-6 minutes, or until soft. Then toss with a can of drained, pearl onions, add cup of Italian dressing and you are ready to go. Refrigerate until your guests arrive.

Baby Spinach Salad: Toss together precut baby spinach leaves, drained mandarin oranges, and raspberry vinaigrette dressing. Refrigerate until guests arrive and before serving garnish with crunchy Asian noodles.

Mini Quiches: You can buy these at any grocery store in the freezer section. Heat up in the oven as directed and serve.

Little Smokies and cheese: heat up a few packages of little smokies. Serve on a platter with precut cheese cubes and table water crackers.

Veggie Tray: Buy a precut veggie or fruit tray and serve with dip.

Punch: Pour two bottle of diet 7-up over a half gallon of your favorite sorbet flavor. Let sit for about 15 minutes and serve out of a punch bowl.
