Homemade Baby Shower Card

Author: Jennifer McCleary

Forget about Hallmark or spending a fortune just to get guests to the party. There are a lot of easy and fun ways to make homemade baby shower cards! This way you dont spend money on something that is going to get thrown away anyway. Give your family and friends a keepsake that is appealing and unique.

A homemade card has a list of benefits. A homemade card will mean a lot more to the recipient. You are able to personalize the message and say exactly what you want to say, or what you need to say. You can make the appearance of the card much more interesting than a store bought card. Read on for a few simple tips on how to make meaningful homemade baby shower cards.

One of my favorite things to do is to get a baby picture of the mother-to-be and have a copy made. You can collage this picture on the front of the card with cute stickers and stamps and have a fun card that the mother-to-be can display. Jot a simple message on the inside and you have created a quick and easy homemade card.

Another option is to visit your local scrap booking store and purchase baby paper and stickers. Find a piece of card stock in a coordinating color and fold it to be the base of your card. Cut the printed baby paper small enough to fit on the front of the card while leaving a border of the card stock around it. Decorate with stickers and you are on your way.

There are also a lot of rubber stamps that are designed with baby themes. A classic is to get a stamp of footprints. Stamp them in pink or blue ink on the front of the card. Punch two holes in the top of the card and tie a cute bow with ribbon at the top.

There are endless possibilities when it comes to making homemade cards. Visit your local craft or scrap booking store, cruise the isles and pick up what you like. Take it home and put it together for a quick and meaningful homemade baby shower card.
